Today I photographed rockstar tech guru Obie Fernandez. He is an author and high-profile member of the Ruby on Rails development community.

His bio, for his soon-to-be-released book at Amazon.com, reads:

“Obie Fernandez is an Independent Consultant, based out of Atlanta, GA, with over 12 years of experience as a software developer. Previously a senior consultant at ThoughtWorks, Obie was involved in complex custom enterprise software projects. He discovered Ruby on Rails in February 2005 and, within a few months, transitioned over to Ruby as his primary programming language. While it’s not a new venture for me I wanted to give my modeling and corporate photography its own portfolio.

I’m proud to announce my new site: Pose Well Studios.

This site will feature my photographs of models, actors, musicians, businesspeople, and other personalities who come to me for headshots, comp cards, and advertisements.

Over the past couple years I’ve photographed hundreds of models and actors, some just starting out and others who went on to work overseas and in television. I’ve also produced images for corporate annual reports and advertisements. There just wasn’t enough room on my wedding photography blog to showcase all of the work I do during the week, in between weddings.

I met Leilani more than 5 years ago, at that time Leilani was working as a plus size model. Back then she was a Size 18 and is now a Size 8. Needless to say, she needed updated pictures for her compcard and portfolio.
